Lav Kush Ramlila Committee is one of the oldest committees in Delhi and has been organizing Ramlila at Red Fort. The Committee is being governed by the office bearers, elected out of dignitaries, prominent citizens, businessmen and other learned personalities.

The Committee is being governed by the office bearers, elected out of dignitaries, prominent citizens, businessmen and other learned personalities.

Lav Kush Ramlila Committee has achieved the recognition as the favorite organization in Delhi. It has also achieved the recognition of best Ramlila committee in Delhi central zone and conferred with an award by Nav Bharat Times.

Apart from organizing Ramlila, a mela or fair is also organized in the same premise. In addition, other stage programs, like, Kavi Sammelan, Keertan of Khatu Shyam Baba, program of Baba Satnarain Mouryaare also organized during the event.

The management is cautious about arranging proper safety at the ground throughout the entire period of the . Sufficient numbers of volunteers are deployed.

Besides Prime Minister of India, Cabinet Ministers, Religious & Leaders, Celebrities, Dignitaries and general people from all communities witness the functions with exhilaration.

Religious personalities like Baba Ramdev, Shri Sudhanshu Maharaj, Shri Ashutoshji Maharaj of Divyojyoti Jagriti Mission and their disciples also address the audience and impressing everybody with their divine thoughts.

Ramleela is an enactment of Hindu epic-Ramayana. It covers the complete life, values, principles of Lord Rama. Every episode of his life is enacted with lots of detailing, and is very informative.This is called as “Lila”.

Ramlila is such an event that till date it embodies and encapsulates Hindu tradition and ethics very well. The life and values of Lord Rama is the best lesson to be learnt in one’s life and especially to Hindus, Ramlila remains the best visual treat and learning experiences in life.

It begins with “Ganesh Puja” on the first day of Navratri, and continues for 11 days. As many as 150 artists take part in the performance playing the respective roles from Ramayana. The 10th day is observed as ‘Dussehra’ (Vijay Dashmi) when effigies of Ravana, Meghnad & Kumbhkarn are burnt which symbolizes the triumph of Good over Evil.

Ramlila ends with “Bharat Milap” on the 11th day. Fifteen days prior to the commencement of Ramlila ‘Bhoomi Pujan takes place, after which a pandal is erected with Gates of decorated facades.

Ramlila Mahasangh was formed in the year 1996, jointly by all the Ramlila Committees of Delhi to organize trouble-less celebrations of Ramlila and to sort out all the problems faced by Ramlila Committees. Ramlila Mahasangh takes care of issues like
